Project evaluation
-
PROJECT PLANNING
Proof of concept, choice of technologies and workflow approach with specialised Leica and LiDAR hardware. -
3D SCANNING OF SHELTERS AND CAVES
3D scanning of the five shelters: Abrigo Cañada de la Cruz, Cueva del Engarbo I, Cueva del Engarbo II, Abrigo de RÃo FrÃo I and Cueva del Nacimiento. -
DRONE RECORDINGS
Drone recordings of the caves, shelters and natural environment of the Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y las Villas Natural Park. -
RECORDING THE HISTORICAL CONTEXT
Recording of the historical context with Julián MartÃnez GarcÃa, archaeologist and doctor in history. -
PRESENTATION OF THE MATERIAL
Presentation of the resources generated to the local authorities involved in the project. -
WORKFLOW DEVELOPMENT
Investigation of all processes and systems involved in the development of material generation and further processing, up to the final result. -
DIGITISATION OF COATS
Scanning of the caves with the Leica RTC 360 scanner and subsequent development of the data transformation for point cloud computing to 3D mesh with texture, retopology work and optimisation for the different Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality environments. -
DEVELOPMENT OF THE 3D CAVES IN INTERACTIVE 360º VIEW
Once the optimised and processed resources have been generated, they have been passed through Object2VR to generate immersion by simulating a false 3D with a sequence of ordered photographs that give the sensation of continuity in movement. -
DEVELOPMENT OF A MOBILE APPLICATION IN AUGMENTED REALITY
Development of the application that integrates Augmented Reality, visualisation of the 3D models of the caves and view with the points of interest. -
DEVELOPMENT OF CAVES AND SHELTERS IN VIRTUAL REALITY
Implementation of the caves processed and optimised for Virtual Reality in the Unreal Engine environment and specifically focused on Pico Standalone, so that they work only with the power of the viewer. Environment corrections, interactions relevant to navigation and user experience have been made. And finally, the cave paintings have been attached using a "decals" technique.
